4 wines perfect for pairing with Thanksgiving dinner

Even if the kitchen isn’t your domain, you can still bring something to the table. While you're grabbing Thanksgiving essentials, don't forget wine.

Michael, our resident wine connoisseur, has handpicked the perfect Rosewood Market Thanksgiving wine selections to ensure you never show up empty-handed. After all, no Thanksgiving gathering is complete without a celebratory toast.

White Wine:

Arrigo Bidoli Sauvignon Blanc

Michael says: A great wine that punches above its weight. Try it with a salad of spinach, pears, Gorgonzola, and toasted pecans; a creamy primavera; a seared swordfish steak; or, just possibly, Thanksgiving dinner.

Jean-Marc Brocard Petit Chablis

Michael says: It starts with sharp citrus flavor arguing with a slightly softer the mouth feel and then relaxes on the tongue with a long mineral finish that the French have dubbed “goût de pierre à fusil” — “tasting of gunflint.” Poultry, pork, sea food, piccata, Alfredo would all happily share a table with this naturally-fermented Chablis. So if you suspect that your Thanksgiving (or Christmas) fare will leaning toward the lighter side, you might want to grab some of this wine

Red Wine:

Cantina Vecchia Torre’s Primitivo

Michael says: It would be quite nice with a ribeye. But thinking about Thanksgiving, it would make a nice contrast to the sweet pork of a honey-baked ham (or a thick chop with a fruit compote). If you’re just doing poultry, I would suggest making it a bit more savory than usual; an oyster dressing would do the trick.

Fattoria La Vialla’s “Casa Conforto” Chianti Superiore

Michael says: I am enjoying it immensely with a snack of sharp cheddar and spicy salami. Bolognese, dry-rubbed roast, savory stuffed mushrooms, cheese and olive plates… This is your wheelhouse for pairing. So if you suspect that your Thanksgiving (or Christmas) fare will leaning toward the more flavorful side,
